On-Line Booking System.We have developed a network despatch system which allows customers to book their parcel consignments on line via a web based shipping system that gives them more control and provides a comprehensive package of time saving and efficiency services.

Available Services.

Mail Packs.

An A4 size strong APC corporate plastic bag for the delivery of any goods (excluding liquids) up to 1kg maximum weight.

Courier Packs.

An A3 size strong APC corporate plastic bag for the delivery of any goods (excluding liquids) up to 5kgs maximum weight.

Parcels.

Any individual parcel or group of parcels to a maximum weight of 30 kgs for any individual item.

Excess.

Any individual parcel over 30kg but lower than 50kg. Dimensions must not exceed 30cm x 30cm x 3.00 metres (including packaging).

Timed Deliveries.

09.00 Delivery by 9.00 am the next working day

10.00 Delivery by 10.00 am the next working day

12.00 Delivery by 12.00 noon the next working day

16.00 Delivery by 4 pm the next working day

Volumised Freight.

Parcels are normally despatched with the actual weight of the parcel being recorded. However for light but large parcels a volumised weight has to be calculated and both actual and volumised weights entered on the manifest. The volumising formula is as follows:-

Height (cm’s) x Breadth (cm’s) x Length (cm’s) divided by 6000. International and Irish consignments are divided by 4000. (e.g. A box which measures 60cm x 60cm x 60cm will cube out at 36 kilos and will be charged accordingly)

Freight analyser equipment checks the weight and dimensions of each consignment by volumetrically scanning each parcel through a 3D laser scanner. The rules regarding overweight and volumised freight are now rigorously applied.

Hazard Diamond Stickers.

The APC network does not accept consignments which carry Dangerous Goods or Substances and this is declared in our conditions of carriage.

Standard parcel freight

Available as next day and timed services

Carries a maximum consignment weight of 100kg.

A maximum length of 2metres and

A maximum individual parcel weight of 30kg.

Allowable Excess.

Consignments of over 100kg will attract higher tariffs as will

Parcels between 30 and 50 kg. In weight and

Lengths of 2 – 3 metres.

50 Plus Kg.

Single parcels over 50kg will be palletised and the appropriate pallet rate and zone charge applied

Palletised Freight.

Certain consignments especially of bulky or heavy items will lend themselves to being despatched via the pallet network.

Pallet freight is available on a next day or economy service and charged according to the size of pallet and zone to which it is despatched.

Pallet Zones schedules and rate sheets can be provided on request.
